Heat Athletics 2013 Summer Camps 

Camps are open to ALL athletes - being on a Heat Athletics all-star team is not a requirement. For those on Heat Athletics all-star teams, the camps are not mandatory but strongly encouraged. All camps will be held at Heat Athletic Center.



Tumbling Camps


Tumbling Camps

Levels 1-3
June 17-20th 1-4pm & July 22-25th 9am-12pm 
**For athlete’s working towards their backhandsprings or back tucks.

Levels 4-5
June 24-27th 1-4pm & July 29th-August 1st 9am-12pm 
**Must have a round off backhandspring back-tuck, and standing three backhandsprings to attend.

These camps will provide a motivating atmosphere to work on new tumbling skills. New skills and improvements throughout the camps will be posted on the wall and awards will be given. This is a fun way to work on perfecting technique and important fundamentals of tumbling as well as learn and accomplish new skills. 

At times throughout the camps very specific groups will be broken down to work on specific skills so each athlete gets the opportunity to focus on specific goals. As indicated above, the level 1-3 sessions are for athlete’s working towards their backhandsprings or back tucks. Athlete’s attending the level 4-5 sessions must have a round off backhandspring back-tuck, and standing three backhandsprings.


Top Girl & Stunt Camps


Top Girl Camps

June 17-20th 9am-12pm  I  July 29th-August 1st 1-4pm 

This camp is designed to teach the correct technique and posture required to be a top girl. Drills and conditioning specifically for top girls will also take place at this camp and can be used beyond camp to continue to improve 
flying ability. 

Some of the most talented bases and back spots within our program will be at this camp to stunt with the top girls and allow the top girls to try new skills in a safe environment. NEW THIS YEAR, THE CHEERLEADING STUNT STAND. This camp is highly recommended for current top girls or those who would like to learn how to become one! 


Stunt Camps

June 10-13th 1-4pm    I    August 12-15th 9am-12pm

Stunt camps are a great chance for athletes to gain knowledge and learn proper technique to perfect stunts they have seen or done before. New, creative, and higher difficulty stunts will also be worked on, based on athlete’s prior experience. 

Athletes can attend with their school team stunt group, or as an individual. We will have athlete’s work together on stunting, as well as with an instructor in their group.
$100 per Skills Camp

$250 Full Day Hot to Cheer Camp
$125 Morning Only Hot to Cheer Camp

Jumps & Flexibility Camps


Jumps & Flexibility Camps

June 24-27th 9am-12pm    I    August 12-15th 1-4pm 

These skills are often overlooked in cheerleading, yet are extremely important to a team’s success and to become an all-around skilled athlete. Drills and conditioning specifically geared towards higher jumps and better lift will be done throughout this camp. Proper technique and body position for each jump will be addressed. Flexibility required for successful jumps will also be worked on. This is a great camp to attend to help you stand out with excellent jumps! 



Strength & Conditioning Camps


Strength & Conditioning Camps

June 10 -13th 9am-12pm    I    July 22-25th 1-4pm 

This four-day “boot camp” style camp will challenge athletes to reach their physical potential. Athletes will learn various conditioning exercises that they can continue to do after boot camp is complete. It’s hard work but feels great to finish a week of intense physical training!



Hot to Cheer Camp

August 5-9th  Full Day 9 - 4pm  I  Morning Only - 9 - 12pm

Hot to Cheer camp is a fun, all-around cheer camp. Activities such as spirit days, contests, obstacle courses, games, etc. happen throughout the week. Everything related to cheerleading is also worked on throughout the week such as jumps, tumbling, stunting, motions, flexibility and more! On the last day a routine is performed by all the campers with a cookout following in the afternoon.
