Brandi Mars

Owner



Brandi is new to the Heat Athletics family, but not new to cheerleading.  She has coached grade school through competitive high school cheerleading since 1995.  Her varsity team attended the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championships every year she coached and won numerous state and local titles. She also helped establish and coach youth through senior teams with another local all-star program.  Currently she coaches grade school cheerleading at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Muskego. 

Brandi received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in early childhood from Carroll College and has been in the teaching field for over 18 years.  She is married to Sean and has two wonderful children, Brandon (12) who is a Level 7 competitive gymnast, and Molly (10) who is a competitive dancer.


Cassie Eschenbach
General Manager 

 

Cassie has been a team and tumbling coach with Heat Athletics for 9 seasons. She is US All Star Federation certified in Stunting, Baskets, and Tumbling in Levels 1-5. Cassie started as a gymnast for ten years before transitioning into the cheerleading world.

She was an active school cheerleader for six years and all-star cheerleader for three years. She received Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin — Milwaukee majoring in Accounting, with a certificate in Real Estate. She worked in the corporate world for three years, as a financial analyst, for two global industrial companies - Rockwell Automation and Brady Corporation.

Cassie has coached teams of every age group and level during her years with Heat. She has also coached at the high school level, but now focuses solely on all-star. 


Melissa Farrington

Senior All-Star Staff, Private Lesson Instructor



Melissa has been involved in some aspect of cheerleading for more than 14 years. She began as a high

school cheerleader at Menomonee Falls, went on to cheer at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and

later with the Milwaukee Bucks 4th Street Flyers. She was captain on all three teams.


Melissa was the Varsity coach at Homestead High School and most recently, Menomonee Falls High

School. She has taught class and private tumbling sessions for high school and all-star cheerleaders for

more than 10 years. She judges several private, UCA and local school competitions each year.


Outside of Heat, Melissa works full time at Johnson Controls, Inc. as a Senior Global Communications/

Marketing Specialist.




Heidi Umhoefer
College Staff All-Star & Class Coach, Private Lesson Instructor


Heidi has coached tumbling and teams for Heat Athletics for 3 years. Heidi was an all-star cheerleader for 5 years. She was also a member of the Sussex Hamilton varsity cheer team for 4 years in addition to being a member of Heat Athletics Firestorm. Heidi is currently studying Biology and Political Science at University Wisconsin - Madison.

Candy Stack
College Staff All-Star, Class & Camp Coach, Private Lesson Instructor



Candy has been with the Heat program since day one. She made her way up from the junior team to the senior team. Candy was on Firestorm every year that the team attended the Cheerleading Worlds, and was a very influential member on the team. Her senior year, she was voted team captain of Firestorm by her team members and coaches at Heat. She received the team Leadership award her junior year, and the Team Superstar and Cheerleader of the Year awards her senior year at the end of the year Heat banquet. 

In 2008, Candy was named the Cheerleader of the year by Xtreme Spirit. Prior to cheerleading, Candy was also a gymnast for 13 years. She has been working for Heat since 2008. The summer of 2012 Candy was a UCA staff member, working throughout the Midwest instructing camps. 

Candy attended Morehead State University this past school year and was a member of their National Champion Cheerleading team. Candy is an Elementary Education Major, and loves working with children. She is extremely excited to work with the athletes of Heat Athletics this summer. 


Collin Whelan
College Staff All-Star Coach and Partner Stunt Class Instructor


Collin is currently a part of the Morehead State Cheerleading Co-ed program. He was also a member of the 2013 National Champion Co-ed cheerleading squad.

He graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 2012. His senior year of high school cheerleading, his team won the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship in the Large Co-Ed division - a very prestigious award. 
Also in 2012, Collin won the UCA High School Partner Stunt Championship.

We are very excited to have Collin work with our Senior Co-ed Level 5 team, Partner Stunt classes, and also private lessons.


Chelsey Sprtel

College Staff All-Star, Class and Individual Coach

 

 Chelsey has coached tumbling and teams for Heat Athletics for over 5 years. Chelsey was a competitive gymnast for 7 years. She was also a member of the Sussex Hamilton varsity team all four years of high school along with being a member of Heat Athletics Firestorm. Chelsey is currently studying education at the University Wisconsin - Oshkosh.

Chelsey was on one of the first Heat Athletics all-star teams there for the very first practice the program has ever had.  Chelsey has experience working with teams, coaching tumbling classes and choreographing individual routines.  

Chelsey currently coaches classes, individuals and all-star teams at Heat Athletics.




Roy Spieckerman 
Junior Staff All-Star Coach


Roy originally joined Heat Athletics as a cheerleader in 2009. Roy has competed on the nationally ranked Heat Athletics teams, Wildfire and Fury, and was part of the 2013 team whom received a bid to the Cheerleading Worlds. 

Roy has coached our Junior Level 4 team, as well as tumbling classes and private lessons. 
 
Prior to Heat Athletics, Roy was a Level 8 competitive gymnast at LeFleur’s Gymnastics. Beginning as a competitive gymnast at age 6, Roy has won numerous individual and team gymnastics awards including the all around gold individual at the 2006 AAU Age Group Men Nationals Championships - Level 5.

Roy will be a senior at Hartford Union High School in the 2013-2014 school year.

Elite Tumbling Staff 


Nick Mantz

Nick is the owner and founder of Elite Tumbling. Nick was a competitive gymnast through North Shore Gymnastics and finished his career at Salto Gymnastics in Brookfield.  Nick has been coaching cheer tumbling for over 10 years and has been a “National Judges” official for USA Gymnastics for over 11 years.  In 2008, Nick became one of the youngest International judges officials in the country.  Nick has also been selected to represent Wisconsin at the 2013 Junior Olympic National Gymnastics Championships in Portland Oregon. He will be an offical on the Floor Exercise & Technical Sequences for men's gymnastics. He has helped coach at almost every gymnastics facility in Southeastern Wisconsin.  Nick is an expert in introductions to back handsprings, acceleration standing tumbling, standing back tucks, front tumbling, and all levels of connection tumbling passes.

 




Luke Albrecht


Luke was a former competitive gymnast for 10 years through Salto Gymnastics in Brookfield and Swiss Turners in West Allis.  Luke helped coach the gymnastics and cheerleading programs at Lafluers Gymnastics in Menomonee Falls for 4 years. He was the head coach for the boys’ gymnastics program at the Kettle Moraine YMCA. He also currently coaches at Wild Card Gymnastics in Brookfield. In addition, Luke is a professional Par Core artist.  Luke is an expert in all basics and introductions to new skills, including standing and connection tumbling, as well as all front tumbling.

Dominic Gutierrez (Domo)


Dominic was a competitive gymnast through Lafluers Gymnastics, in Menomonee Falls, for over six years where he won two State Championships.  He is the current assistant coach for the boys’ program at Wild Card Gymnastics, in Brookfield Wisconsin.   Dominic as an expert in all levels of standing tumbling and standing acceleration tumbling.   Dominic is also an advanced spotter in back handspring back tucks/back layouts.














Sean Mars

Owner and All-Star Coach



Sean has been an all-star team coach for Heat Athletics for 4 seasons and purchased the business in 2013. Sean is AACA safety certified and US All Star Federation credentialed through Level 5 for Tumbling, Stunting and Basket Tosses. Sean was on a co-ed college cheerleading squad at Carroll College for 3 years. He was on an open co-ed cheer squad for a local all-star gym for 1 year. Sean owns his own computer software company.
 
Sean has coached high school cheerleading for over 8 years. He has attended High School Nationals for 7 years and his teams have won state championships. He also has coached for 3 years at the middle school level. Sean has also created competition routine music for local cheer, pom and all-star dance teams for the last 10 years.




Elysse Sebald
Senior Staff All-Star and Class Coach, Private Lesson Instructor


Elysse was a competitive gymnast for ten years. She has 7 years of school and 5 years of allstar cheerleading experience. While a cheerleader Elysse won two Division II state championship titles and was on nationally ranked all star teams. She has been a UCA staff member for 6 years. Elysse is in her last year at University Wisconsin - Milwaukee majoring in Biology.


Elysse has experience coaching all grades - grade school through college. She currently coaches the Varsity team at Wisconsin Lutheran High School.




Ashley Bekken
Senior All-Star Staff, Fitness, Camp and Private Lesson Instructor



Ashley started out as a competitive gymnast and transitioned to cheerleading in middle school. She has 6 years of school cheerleading experience, as well as 5 years of all star experience on both Wolf Pack All Stars and Heat Athletics. 

Ashley continued her cheerleading career at Morehead State University her freshman year of college on the all girl team. She then transferred to Eastern Kentucky University where she cheered on their small coed team for 2 1/2 years. 

Ashley has also been a UCA staff member and head instructor for the last 6 years. Ashley is a certified group fitness instructor and loves teaching fitness classes and helping athletes achieve their fitness goals. 

Ashley graduated with a bachelors of social work in December 2012. She currently is the program advisor and head varsity coach at Franklin High School. 


Jessica Contrino
Senior All-Star Coach & Class Instructor



Jess was a competitive gymnast for 9 years. She competed up to Level 8, until I switching cheerleading. Jess trained with multiple gyms throughout the Midwest, as well as in Singapore. She has competed in countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. 

Jess took part in high school and competitive cheerleading. She was the captain for the Varsity cheer team at Olentangy Liberty High School in Powell, Ohio. She also competed through Level 5 for Buckeye Cheer Elite, an all-star gym in Ohio. 

Jess has been coaching cheerleading and tumbling classes for 6 years. She has coached levels 1-4 and has been USASF certified in Levels 1-5. She started coaching at Buckeye Cheer Elite, has coached two teams at Heat Athletics, and has recently been teaching tumbling classes at Champion Training Academy in Morgantown, West Virginia while attending college.

She is currently a student at West Virginia University and will be receiving her Bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies. She will be graduating in December of 2013.


Ryan Noffsinger
College Staff All-Star Coach



Ryan is from Mayfield, KY, where he attended the successful Graves County High School. He was on the Varsity Cheerleading team there his Junior and Senior year of high school. His junior year, he was a leading influence in the team's regional, state, and fifth UCA national championship titles. His senior year, along with being named team captain, he also lead his team to yet another regional and state title, and runner up at UCA nationals. 

After high school, Ryan worked choreography and skills camps throughout the nation. He worked with a variety of ages and skills among all star and high school cheerleaders. He then attended Morehead State University and was a member of the cheerleading squad there. 

Ryan is excited to begin working here at Heat Athletics and share his knowledge and wisdom with the young athletes of Heat. 


Brooke Patterson
College Staff All-Star, Class & Camp Coach, Private Lesson Instructor


 Brooke has coached tumbling and teams for Heat Athletics for 3 years. Brooke was an all-star cheerleader for 6 years. She was also a member of the Sussex Hamilton varsity cheer team in addition to being a member of Heat Athletics Firestorm. Brooke is currently running track for University Wisconsin - Eau Claire while studying nursing.

Hana Cochran
College Staff All-Star & Class Coach


Hana was a part of Heat Athletics for 7 years, and competed at Worlds 4 times! She currently attends the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh and would love to work with kids as a full-time job.

Hana coaches classes, camps and all-star teams at Heat Athletics. 




Rachel Miskowski
College Staff All-Star Coach



Rachel has been part of the Heat Athletics program for the past nine years. She was one of our initial team members from the 2004 mini team! She has been a part of our level 5 program for the last few years and has attended the Cheerleading Worlds five years in a row! She was also on the Varsity cheerleading team at Hamilton High School, in Sussex, for three years. 

Although she has graduated, cheerleading is her passion and she looks forward to coaching a successful team this coming season at Heat Athletics!

Rachel will be attending the University of Waukesha in the fall semester of 2013.


Courtney Stack
Junior Staff All-Star Coach



Courtney has been in the Heat Athletics program since day one. She has competed on Mini, Youth, Junior, and Senior teams over the past 9 years. She has been a part of our Senior Level 5 program for the last 3 years and has attended the World Cheerleading competition all 3 years as well.

Prior to joining Heat she was a competitive gymnast for 7 years, competing through level 8. 

Courtney attends Wisconsin Lutheran High School and is also a member of the Varsity cheerleading team. 










Mike Giles


Mike is our veteran coach who comes to us with a very long experience in the gymnastics world.   He has coached at the Olympic training center from 1983-86. He has coached many Junior Olympic qualifiers and Special Olympian Chris Kowal to a 2nd all-around championship. Mike has led many private and high school gymnastics programs across the state of Wisconsin, including North Shore, Infinite and Lafluer’s gymnastics clubs. He is currently the head coach for the Homestead High Schools gymnastics team. Over his 39 year experience his gymnasts have achieved a total of 370 team awards and over 10,000 individual awards!  Mike is responsible for basics training on round offs and back handsprings. He is also responsible for spotting standing back hand, back tucks, and back layouts. In addition, he is also an expert in all running tumbling passes, including but not limited to back handspring back full-twists. 



Drew Hufsey

Drew is the newest addition to the Elite Tumbling Team. He is a former competitive gymnast starting his career with Swiss Turners Gymnastics in West Allis and finishing out with Salto Gymnastics in Brookfield. As a competitive gymnast Drew competed in many Junior Olympic Championships, as well as state and regional championships through his senior year of high school.  As a current coach of Salto Gymnastics in Brookfield he heads up 6 cheer classes along with coaching both boy and girls developmental programs.  Drew is an expert in Basics, introduction to back handsprings, and connection tumbling into both basic and advanced skills.





Jenny Batzner

Jenny comes from a long line of experience in both cheerleading and gymnastics.  She was a competitive gymnast for 10 years, 2 years of which she was team caption for Arrowhead High School. At 16, she began her coaching career at Infinite Gymnastics in Brown Deer, WI.  There she spent 10 years teaching preschool classes, team levels 3-5, and also ran tumbling summer camps.  She was the director of the gymnastics program at Iroquois Springs’ 2007 summer camp in NY.   Jenny has coached cheerleading tumbling for over 6 years with the owner of Elite Tumbling, Nick Mantz.  Jenny is an expert in all beginner and intermediate tumbling, as well as introductions to round offs and back handsprings.
