New Tumbling Class Instructor
We are very excited to announce the addition of Roy Spieckerman as our lead tumbling class instructor effective immediately. Roy has been at Top Gun All-Stars for the past season, and we are very excited to have him back and on our staff!
Roy originally joined Heat Athletics as a cheerleader in 2009 competing on our levels 3-5 teams. His team’s accomplishments include: Wildfire – 4th (2010), 2nd (2011), and 3rd (2012) at the UCA International All Star Championship. He was a member of the Heat Athletics Small Coed 5 teams in 2013 & 2014 winning bids to the Cheerleading Worlds. Roy also became part of our staff and coached the Junior 3 and 4 teams, along with stunting, tumbling, and general cheerleading classes. Prior to Heat Athletics, Roy was a Level 8 competitive gymnast at LeFleur’s Gymnastics. Roy has won numerous individual and team gymnastics awards including the all-around gold individual at the 2006 AAU Age Group Men Nationals Championships – Level 5.
In the 2014-2015 season, Roy was a member of Top Gun Large Coed in Miami, FL, winning national titles from: All-Star Challenge, CheerSport, NCA, and Champions League 2. In addition to being a national champion, he was also awarded a full-paid bid to the 2015 Cheerleading Worlds. Roy has received second place in the world in the large senior coed division. His team had the highest raw score at the whole competition. As a member of Top Gun Large Coed, he was coached by world re-known coach Victor Rosario, the owner and founder of Top Gun All-stars. He had the opportunity to assist Coach Victor in stunting private lessons, teaching many different varieties of stunting levels, and basket tosses.
Roy loves coaching and teaching our youth tumbling and cheerleading skills. He feels that cheerleading can build self-esteem and provides them with the knowledge to succeed in anything they want to accomplish. Welcome back, Roy!
With that said, we are very sad to see our instructor’s Josh Ahrens and Kellie Wiesner go with the conclusion of our 2014-2015 season, but thank them for their time with us and wish them the best in their future endeavors.
